Make Room for Jesus !!!
Pastor Reeves’ sermon this week reminds us how important it is to make room for Jesus this Christmas season. We find time and make room to do all sorts of things during the holidays. We make room for company to come. We make room in front of the picture window for the Christmas tree. We even make room in our lives to go shopping for things we often times can’t afford or don’t need.
My charge to you this season is not to become so busy with your Christmas agenda that you miss Jesus. Instead, we should all approach the season with expectancy. If we make the time and room for Jesus, I know He will show up! If Jesus is our Beloved, we should have no problem spending time being with him. We should take to heart his Word to us: “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). Enjoy being alone with him – at Christmas time and throughout the year. Stay in the Word of God this season, and keep your prayer life active. Make room for Jesus - He is the reason for the season.
